Steamed Rice Cupcakes





1 cup Jagger or Brown sugar

( You can add more sugar or reduce the sweetness )

1 1/2 cup water ( or coconut milk )


3 cup Rice Flour

3/4 cup Organic Self-Raising Flour

1  1/2  tsp  Baking power

1/2  tsp Baking soda

Some cranberry and pumpkin seeds or black Raisin

8 smalls bowls ( U can place paper cups on bowls)



1. Dissolve 1 cup  brown sugar in 1 1/2 cups water in a mixing bowl.

2.Sieve all the dry ingredients,pour in the sugar water and stir until thoroughly mixed.

portion the batter into a small bowls with paper cups .

3.Add in the cranberry , pumpkin seeds or raisin .

4. Steam over hot boiling water for about 30 mins.

Allow the cakes to cool down on wire rack.

5. These steam cakes are usually served at New Year or festive occasion.
