6-8  Chinese Arrowhead peeled and cut to chunks

1 pkt pioppini mushroom

1 green pepper -you can add red and yellow pepper too.

5 slices ginger

1 red chili cut half

1/3 tsp sea salt

1/4 tsp crush black pepper

1/2 tsp light soy sauce

1 tsp veggie seasoning

1 cups pure water

2 tbsp olive oil


1.Heat oil in a wok add slices ginger,red chilli and  chuck china arrowhead fry until  fragrant add water to stew for about 10  minutes in medium heat,the arrowhead should be cooked through but not so soft,So taste one to check if done. Add green pepper, pioppini mushroom and all seasoning until water totally dry up.

2.Best served while still warm.

3.Served this with plain or brown cooked rice .Enjoy ;

8 medium size arrowhead peeled, clean and cut into 4

1 Green pepper -cut into 1 inch square

1/2 (8 gm) piece of Kelp -soak and cut into 2 inch square pieces

3 Dried Shiitake Mushroom- soak 2 hours cut into 4 pieces

3 Slices of ginger -finely chopped

Some Chilli flake or 1 Red Chilli

2 Tbsp Toasted Peanuts

1 1/2 Cup Pure Water


1/3 tsp of sea salt

1 Tbsp of Tamari

1/2 tsp Veggie seasoning or vegetarian oyster sauce

1/3 Crushed Black Pepper

2 tbsp Olive oil


1.Heat oil in a wok. Add the diced ginger and fry till fragrant. Add mushroom ,arrowhead, kelp, red chilli ,stir fry briskly add in 1 1/2 cup water and all seasoning to saute  for 8-10 minute in middle low heat cover the lid .

2. Add the green pepper stir-fry briskly for a moment until the chinese arrowhead totally cooked and sauce is slightly dry.

3.  Dish up, garnish with toasted peanuts,chilli flake and serve hot !

*Malaysia  people love arrowhead chips,it  have been popular in Malaysia for several years, the starchy arrowhead chips is crunchy and makes a delightful snack especially during Chinese New Years… …for me i love to stir fried or stew arrowhead in different dishes, tasty like potato *

3 kg Arrowhead-peeled and slice

2 tbsp sea salt

4 cups cooking oil.

1.Peeled and slice arrowhead in cold water with salt soak for 1-2 hours.Drain arrowhead and set aside for drying OR * You can omit soaking, sprinkle salt after frying .*
2.Prepare wok add in cooking oil in medium heat.Add slice arrowhead one at a time in fryer,deep fry until turn lightly golden brown,then sieve out and place on parchment paper to drain off the the excess oil.
3.Lets the fried arrowhead completely cool down,store in airtight container
