A GREAT LIVER CLEANSER FOOD ! If possible don”t cook beet root should be eaten Raw !!
The red deep of beetroot comes from betacyanin, is one of the key foods in preventing disease as well as curing Cancer. Beetroot has the power to cleanse your system and increase haemoglobin, along with purifying your blood ‘n reduce problems like heart disease.
Red beets are favored over white beets for their juicy, edible qualities and medicinal purposes. Beetroot are a rich source of energy as they are full of nutrients and fiber, contains Potassium, Iron, Copper, Magnesium, Phosphorus, vitamin B & C, folate, and betaine in large quantities. Beets are very low on calories!
Safety:
*People who have kidney stone should avoid drinking beet root juice…………….
Some people are unable to break down the purple pigment beta cyanin. After consuming beetroot,they may experience “beeturia” a condition in which their urine or stools are stained red or purple,due to the pigment.It is not harmful.
Beetroot contains oxalates which may interfere with calcium absorption.Therefore it is not suitable for people with kidney or gall bladder problems.
Those who are calcium supplement the bone should take the supplement one to two hours before or after drinking beetroot juice.*
Used as food Colouring:
Just like the Butterfly Pea flowers ! The juice can be used as a Natural Colourant in making dessert. To prevent colour changes,add vinegar or lemon juice which acidify the food ‘n stabilise the pink colour.
On the other hand, add a little baking soda to make it slightly akaline, to obtain a deeper purple hue.
Beet stains can be removed by rubbing them out with lime or vinegar.

Simple Easy Raw Beetroot Salad :-

Ingredients:

1 Medium Raw Beet root shredded.

1/2 tsp natural sea salt

1/2 pc lemon juice

1/2 teaspoon agave nectar

1 tbs toasted black and white sesame seed

Mixed all together and keep in fridge for 1 hour.

Best to serve cold. Quick, Simple and Easy !

Beetroot, best serve in Juice or Smoothies!
